The competition, which takes place from December 8 to December 17, is expected to feature eight competing nations. Group A consists of Nepal, India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, while Group B will include Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates.

Team Nepal took part in a training camp before the event, playing a number of exhibition matches both against the senior team and amongst the squads.
